"Every day is different and with constant changes in technology, we’re always looking to evolve and make improvements that make life easier for our clients."

Anne's jam-packed operations and systems-focused career spanning 25 years, has taken her to some of the world's leading banks and financial institutions. Sought-after for her expertise in business analysis, investment banking operations, financial systems and process design, she’s successfully delivered significant projects for Barclays, ABN AMRO, Craigs IP, and JBWere.

As our Senior Business Analyst, she plays a critical role in supporting our operations and managing projects. From conducting system upgrades and working directly with our developers and testers on the nitty gritty, to supporting our clients through UAT and production, as well as day-to-day software changes.

Chelmer CEO Alin Ungureanu says, "Her extensive experience coupled with attention to detail and perseverance enables us to deliver the best solution to our clients."

Anne discovered her penchant for IT systems and project-based work while working at British multinational investment bank Barclays. After graduating from Waikato University in 1990 with a degree in Economics, she picked up a treasury operations role at Barclays and spent a number of years working in day-to-day operations.

"Seeing how everything worked behind the scenes and being in an environment of fast-paced change got me hooked on financial markets" she says. "I soon realised I enjoyed the systems and project work more than managing operations, so made the change to work in IT to support the operations departments."

She went on to consult to a variety of financial firms including Chelmer, where she had an opportunity to work as a Business Analyst. "Chelmer were embarking on a major project for ABN AMRO Craigs, which involved the end-to-end design and delivery of a bespoke, never-been-done-before multi-currency cash management software and system. It was a great opportunity, as it meant I could still be involved in banking/finance and do project work."

Anne has been part of our team for five years now, and enjoys the variety and fast-paced change that comes from an industry at the intersection of money and technology.

"Every day is different and with constant changes in technology, we’re always looking to evolve and make improvements that make life easier for our clients."

In-between establishing her successful career in financial operations and systems, Anne spent seven years in the UK where she continued her professional development via training on UK financial markets, as well as something a bit different training and competing dressage horses!
