From our inception 30 years ago, we’ve invested in continuously developing our software to make it more powerful, robust, flexible, and easy to use. Today we are pleased to reveal the return on investment, with our latest software release - Myriad. The release includes a major update to our platform’s core infrastructure components and a new User Interface approach.
Chelmer Chief Innovation Officer, Andy Robertson says the release will enhance user experience by enabling greater UI personalisation. It will also open up opportunities for new features and third-party data to be integrated faster and more seamlessly into UIs.
The release has embedded Glue42 Core, an open-source integration platform that supports configurable workflows between web and desktop apps.
"Our focus has been on standardisation" says Andy. "Myriad brings together many different components, so we want these to behave and present information in a consistent way. This means, within a customised UI, users will get a consistent experience every time new functionality is enabled."
"In this industry, we believe it’s important to provide UIs that are flexible and reflect the persona of both the firm and the individual. That’s why, we’re focused on making our UI components clean and simple, so dashboards or portals can be configured for different types of users or customers, with information presented the way they want it and in a consistent way."
The standardised UI approach has been applied to Myriad’s customer management, and order management and execution modules. Chelmer plans to gradually apply the approach across all software modules as part of their technology roadmap.
"The direction we are taking with Myriad's latest release will create opportunities to extend this functionality and achieve personalisation at scale" says Andy. "As part of our technology roadmap, we are looking into micro UIs and Personal Web Apps, so we have some exciting developments ahead of us."
"For our clients, the constant evolution of Myriad means opportunities to expand their service offering, streamline operations, and deliver more personalised customer service."
