New leadership: Driving innovation and client collaboration

We are delighted to announce Alin Ungureanu (pictured left) has been appointed to lead Chelmer’s strategic direction and operations as Chief Executive Officer.

Alin brings an extensive track-record as both a technical IT professional and director to the role, with specific expertise in governance, strategy, systems design and implementation, security and risk management. His previous roles include Chief Information Officer at Oceania Healthcare and Icebreaker, and Director at KPMG New Zealand.

Alin says he’s looking forward to the opportunities that lie ahead and that one of his key focuses will be on developing the trusted relationship we have with our clients and becoming an enabler of their success through collaboration and co-creation.

With Alin moving into his new role as CEO, Andy Robertson (pictured right) has been appointed Chelmer’s Chief Innovation Officer. The appointment will enable Andy to focus his considerable industry experience and technical expertise on developing Chelmer’s product, service and market innovation.

Andy served as Chelmer’s CEO for 18 years and played a critical role in taking Chelmer’s industry-leading innovation to market. He says it’s an exciting time as we look to expand our reach and offering. He will be looking to drive our company culture of constant improvement and innovation and develop best-of-breed technology that will shape the future of investing and wealth management for our clients.

Both Andy and Alin will continue to serve as Directors on Chelmer’s Board.
